Mountain
There was night men had lost their lives in this dangerous mountain. However, eleven women decided to clime this mountain, because they all have passion to climb mountain. As the captain, Arlene solved the problem smoothly. She also had hard stress at the same time. If she made a wrong strategies, the rest of ten people also include her would lost lives. On the Annapurna, avalanches could happen at any time. They still wanted to reach the top. The higher they climb, the more hardship they have. Finally 2 members use 8 hour to the summit. Unlucky, they died on the summit.
People might look small in front of the nature, their persistent of the heart show so bravely. Follow to the dreams even lost lives; the spirit will leave in the world forever.
Two short stories lead to me realize depth: nothing can be more exciting than success for a man. But you must face a variety of challenges before you succeed. No one can make it easily. The harder trouble you come over, the stronger you are. As someone said‘in every adversity there lies the seed of an advantage and in every defeat there is a lesson showing you how to win the victory next time”. This winter vacation,I read agreat book《Bookworm》.In gread 1,I appreciate the beauty of the moon,and,I know Mary,queen of Soctss story……In a word,Ibenefited a lot of in really like this book. Among them,my favourite book is《Love or money》.It tells a rich women death is suspect,and they greeted her moneys mouth little daughter threatens her,to obtain money;on the surface seems to love her big daughter to reasons but hater mother;her son to a piece of land and mother fell out……

The《Book worm》 has taught me a lot.
Carol was once a happy and sunshiny girl. But after her father died in a plane crash, she became bad and took drugs. She had secrets in her heart and didn’t want others to know them. When Carol went to an island, she found the host had a bigger secret than hers: he had killed a girl in a car crash. So he needed an island to hide himself.
This is the story in Dead Man’s Island.
I think everybody has done something wrong and wants to keep the secrets in his or her heart. But do you know, even if we can escape from others’ eyes, we can’t escape from our own hearts.
I had been told a story like this: A woman felt ill and she went to see a doctor. The doctor examined her carefully and told the woman, ‘There is a tumor in your uterus. You’d better take an operation immediately.’ The woman agreed.
When the doctor cut open the woman’s abdomen, he got such a big surprise—there was a baby in the uterus, not a tumor. The doctor was sweating all over.
‘What to do? Take out the baby, or told the woman’s husband that it was just a tumor?’ ‘But … I am a doctor!’ He thought.
At last, the doctor sewed up the woman’s abdomen. When he told the woman’s husband the truth, the man didn’t move for a while. But then, the man jumped to the doctor, shouting at him. He was so angry and wanted to hit the doctor.
After the accident, a friend of the doctor’s asked him ‘Why did you do so? If you took out the baby, no one knows.’
‘But I know!’ said the doctor.
I have a very similar experience. That was a Monday, I was cleaning the classroom after school. John, my friend came up to me. He was looking for my maths teacher. But the teacher had been after work. So I told John to come again the next day. I said to myself, if I met the maths teacher, I would tell him that John had been looking for him.
When I was on my way home, I just looked at the ground, thinking about something. At that moment, my maths teacher came towards me and passed by. When I realized that, it was too late. The teacher had gone far away.
At night, when I was lying on the bed, my brain was full of the thing happened in the afternoon. The next day, John would find the maths teacher and not think about me, just as nothing happened. But I felt sorry for John. I wanted to do something for him, but I didn’t. Nobody knew what my idea was, but I knew.
Many things like the dead man on the island. After the crash, he made himself ‘dead’ and hid on the island. Maybe, he made others forget the crash, forget himself, but he couldn’t forget. He always felt remorseful and locked himself in his heart house.
What others think is not important, we should listen to ourselves.
I think every one may face sad things, like relatives’ death, missing the good high school, losing your best friends. Sometimes we feel cross and often ask ‘Why does the God do this to me?’
To let oneself feel better, we maybe do more wrong things. But happy and free time is transient. After that, we will have ourselves, hate life, hate everybody.
We want to forget, but can’t. more and more secrets are hidden in hearts. We close our window, and it is dark inside. Old days follow us forever, how we wanted the ‘man’ in the past can die. Nothing matters. Sadness is filled in our body. We live just like a dead man.
Escaping can do nothing. Beginning a new life is the most important, take sadness but live strongly.
When Carol left Dead Man island, I think she knew this all. The host influenced her. Don’t be remorseful any more, face new life, no hiding, no giving up the beautiful life, show the world a real self.
Leave Dead Man’s Island, let a bunch of sunshine get into your heart house.
Today, I was excited mood end the Robinson Crusoe reading.
The characters and story let me intoxicated. I like the characters in the story and his strong spirit. Robinson is one has the wisdom and courage people. I admire his courage and wisdom.
Robinson is on the island to live, he overcame all the difficulties with wisdom! Twenty-eight years, what an amazing number！This is the story, in a seaway of Robinson, meet with a storm, he alone wandering to the island, living for twenty-eight years. We can see , how brave he is !At first, Robinson came to the island, he said: 'I'm desperate sad that I this sad situation. I have no food, no houses, no weapons, no clothes.’ But, after this he was more and more brave. He began to plan for his created many needs try various devices to create things for his island life.
At last , He saw a ship through the island, Also experienced a lot of difficulty. In the end , he return to the country.
This story tells me, when I meet the difficulties, we must Strive , Get the final victory!
Here I am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what I have just finished reading with tears of sadness filling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart,which revived my exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishness of the secular world for a long time. It is truly what I felt after reading Oliver Twist, written by the prominent British author Charles Dickens.
The resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the novel, but what this aloof society lacks, and what I lack deep inside. These supreme resources I’m talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention. They’re abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another —— love and care. Those charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth,which was carved into my heart deeply. Mr. Brownlow is one such person.
The other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen
by two skilled teenage thieves, Artful Dodger and Charley Bates, and thought naturally it was Oliver, who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves, that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place. Being wrathful, he caught Oliver, and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered, unfair magistrates worked. Fortunately for him, Oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards. With sympathy, Mr. Brownlow took the injured, poor Oliver to his own home. There Oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were Mr. Brownlow’s own son. One day, however, Mr. Brownlow asked Oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected. The thief Oliver once stayed with kidnapped him. After that he disappeared in Mr. Brownlow’s life. Searching for a while, Mr. Brownlow had to believe the fact that he had run away with his money. But dramatically, they came across each other again a few years later. Without hesitation, Mr. Brownlow took Oliver home for the second time not caring if he had done something evil.
Perhaps most of us would feel confused about Mr. Brownlow’s reaction. But as a matter of fact, this is just the lesson we should learn from him. Jesus said in the Bible. “Forgive not seven times, but seventy-times seven.” Why is that? Because forgiveness is our ability to remove negative thoughts and neutralize them so our energy may be spent on doing what we came here for. We cannot move forward in our future if past issues cloud our thinking. Stop put Mr. Brownlow into the list of your models. Always give people a second chance no matter what they might have done. That’s also a substantial part of loving and caring others.
then there are Mrs. Maylie and Rose, Oliver’s other benefactors. Maybe the reason they loved and cared Oliver was not because of forgiveness. In my point of view, it was trust. They had faith in Oliver when he was considered to be a filthy burglar who tried to break the front door of Maylie’s at midnight. But this wasn’t how these two ladies saw the whole thing. They denied Oliver’s crime immediately and listened attentively to Oliver’s own description of his miserable life. They were deeply touched by Oliver’s strong perseverance and astonishing vitality.
Accordingly, they remedied Oliver’s body and heart and turned him into adifferent boy. He began to wear appropriate and clean suits which were tailor-made for him and receive education.
As far as we can see, it is trust that helps us all live together without precaution. Sometimes trust can even lead us to miracles, which we often expect to come about, so why not trust? Trust yourself, trust others, and you’ll salute miracles every single day.
In the novel, though the young Oliver again and again fell for conspiracies of those hideous thieves, who tried to torture Oliver’s body and poisoned Oliver’s heart intensely, he always lived on and tried hard to seek for his own life. Then I realized what supported him all through were actually beliefs. In most cases, what you believe is what you’ll become. Believe that you are unlimited, that you can do anything you commit to doing, and when you do, your accomplishments will know no bounds. You control your beliefs and that is how you ultimately control your life. It’s all dictated by your attitude.
In the final analysis, love and care contain numerous forms, there are love of forgiveness, love of trust, etc. but they all come from your beliefs in life. When someone tells you he’s deceived you, forgive him anyway, when someone tells you what he’s done, trust him anyway, and when you face adversities while chasing your dreams, think about your beliefs, then what hinders you will become a piece of cake in no time.
So find out “Olivers” in your life and do as Mr. Brownlow and Mrs. Maylie do: love them and care them, which cost nothing but save much. They enrich those who receive, without impoverishing those who give. They can be certain smallest words or actions, but the memory of them sometimes last forever.
Charles Dickens said:“Love makes the world go around.” These immortal words have inspired and will keep on inspiring us to chant the melody of love and to say the prayer of care forevermore. Let us, therefore, enjoy life and treat other people lovingly. These principles are the roots and foundations of beliefs supporting this article and our

In this summer holidays, I read a book called < Great Expectations>, it was written by Charles Dickens, one of the most famous English writers. He wrote lots of wonderful novels. This book is one of his compositions.
People always like to compare with their friends. It is a big foible of all the people. If other people have a lot of money, we also want to be rich. If all the people around us are poor , we never mind that we are very poor, too. we will not ashamed because of our folly. This is a social problem.
If we never possess anything, we will not mind we lost some thing. Since we dont want to be very rich ,we will not feel despond because poor.
The protagonist of this novel is Pip （Handel）。 His parents died when he was a baby. His sister had brought him up by hand. His sister married to Joe Gargery, the village blacksmith. They didnt have much money, and Pip never went to school to study. But he was often very happy .Because all of his friends are like him. It isnt very unfortunate to them, this is their lives. But by a chance, Pip helped a convict; he gave much food to him. Then he met Miss Havisham, a very strange old woman and she was very rich.
Four years later, Miss Havisham wants Pip to be removed from his home and educated as a gentleman who expects inherit a fortune when he grow up.
After hearing that . Pip started to despise his poor friends. He even feel ashamed because he live with the poor man . Pips great expectations destroyed his life.
This novel told us that we cannot compare with others .Dont feel envy at the others money. And if one day you be very rich , please dont despise your poor friends.
Two Friends and a Bear
One day two young men are walking in a big forest. One is fat , and the other is thin._We are good friends. we must help each other. If we meet any beast, I'll help you,_the thin man says._I'll help you, too,_ the fat one says. They walk on. After a while they hear a great noise. It is a big bear. It is coming this way.
The two young men run away quickly. One of them climbs up a tree, and hides among the leaves. He forgets all about his friend. What about the fat one? He is too fat to climb up a tree. So he throws himself on the ground, closes his eyes, and pretends to be dead. _ The bear will think I'm dead,_ he thinks to himself.
Soon the bear comes up to the fat man, and even puts its nose to his mouth and ears. The fat man holds his breath.
The bear thinks he is dead, so it goes away, because bears never touch the dead. The man in the tree comes down. With a smile he asks his friend, _ The bear puts its nose so close to your ears. What does it say to you?_
The friend answers, _ The bear says, ' Don't trust your friend. He runs away from you when you need his help most._
A friend in need is a friend indeed.
